He worked for more than a decade as a guidance councillor at an alternative secondary school for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties. Since 1994 he has been engaged as a consultant in special education concerning children and young people with behavioural and emotional problems on a regional basis. In 1998 he started working with the Midt-norsk kompetansesenter for atferd (The Central Regional Resource Center for Special Education of Children with Behavioural and Emotional Difficulties) a private organized center in Trondheim. He is a mentor in the teacher programme in Norway in the Incredible Years programme series (Carolyn Webster-Stratton, Seattle,USA). Bjorn Arnesen (bjorn@mka.no) has a background as a social worker with a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Trondheim. He has long experience with children and young people in juvenile recreation centres, municipal social welfare service and institutions. His research has been directed towards institutional research. In recent years, he has primarily studied the school system of children and what the school system offers for children and youngsters in child welfare institutions. Since 1996, he has been engaged as a consultant in special education concerning children and young people with behavioural and emotional problems on a regional basis. In 1998 he started working with the Midt-norsk kompetansesenter for atferd (The Central Regional Resource Center for Special Education of Children with Behavioural and Emotional Difficulties), a privately organized center in Trondheim He is a mentor in the teacher programme in Norway in the Incredible Years programme series (Carolyn Webster-Stratton, Seattle,USA). Arnt Ollestad(arnt@mka.no)has a Masters degree in Special Education from the University of Trondheim. He has a background as a teacher in primary and secondary schools. He has also worked in a psychiatric ward and as a principal at a municipal center for children and adults with learning disabilities. His research has been directed towards the education of young people living in residential care and how to develop social competence in young children. Since 1995 he has been engaged as a consultant in special education concerning children and young people with behavioural and emotional problems on a regional basis. In 1998 he started working for Midt-norsk kompetansesenter for atferd (The Central Regional Resource Center for Special Education of Children with Behavioural and Emotional Difficulties), a private organized center in Trondheim.He is a group leader in the teacher programme in Norway in the Incredible Years programme series (Carolyn Webster-Stratton, Seattle,USA). |
